Mission Woods was built from 1971, to 1981 by Mauer Elliot. This subdivision is comprised of 79 homes, most of which are two story houses. Most residents have large yards both in front and back. There are several floor plans with the smallest offering 2,120 square feet of living space, and the largest with 3,145 square feet. There are three to four bedrooms and two to three baths.
Mission Woods is served by the award winning Capistrano Unified School District. Students may attend highly ranked facilities like Harold Ambuehl Elementary, Marcos Forster Middle School, and San Juan High School. Parents may also choose from several private schools in this city including Serra Catholic High School, Mission Parish, and Saddleback Valley Christian School. Mission Woods is located between the Arroyo Park, and C Russell Cook Park just south of Ortega Highway. You will find many picnic areas, and playgrounds as well as trails for hiking and horseback riding. The Marbella Country Club is to the north, and the San Juan Hills Golf club is to the south. Residents have easy access to freeways, beaches, stores, and restaurants. Department stores and charming boutiques are offered at places like the Plaza Del Obispo Shopping Center, Plaza Del Rio Shopping Center, Ocean View Plaza, and Marbella Plaza. The downtown district of San Juan Capistrano is only a few minutes away.
San Juan Capistrano is known for the Mission San Juan Capistrano which was founded in 1776 as well as the famous San Juan Mission Swallows that once migrated from Argentina.
